Growing up in Oklahoma meant I was landlocked for a good majority of my life. So yes, to me, Texas beaches count as “real” beaches.
Galveston holds a special place in my heart. It’s where I married my late husband and father of my children, Marc. As two fresh college grads, we planned the most chic, DIY wedding ever! A giant rented beach house acted as both our lodging and our wedding venue. We were married on the beach, the ocean waves our soundtrack. It was the most magical day of my life.
